Before selecting your artist please make sure that you have the style and attitude to carry the character you have chosen.

While preparing for their two-member comeback next year, TVXQ’s Yunho and Changmin left a message for their fans on December 1st through their official homepage.

Titled “To our loving fans,” the post went on to state:

We are greeting our fans through writing, who were probably just as upset as we were during this time.

We’ve discussed and consulted with our agency for over a year, and have finally decided to protect our original duty and the place of TVXQ.

TVXQ was able to reach this position due to the unending love and support from our fans both in Korea and overseas. We believe that we must uphold the love and honor of our fans and take responsibility.

As long as all of you exist, waiting for the music of TVXQ with love, we will be giving everything we have in order to protect TVXQ, the position TVXQ belongs in, and its future.

We promise that TVXQ will be with you and will find you again in the 2011 new year with good music. Thank you.

T-ara’s Jiyeon accidentally confessed that she underwent plastic surgery in an unguarded moment during her appearance on MBC’s “Radio Star.”

The topic of discussion was most of the members of T-ara being from some sort of ‘Little Miss Korea’ pageant during their younger years. Eunjung had revealed that she was a ‘Little Miss Korea’ while Co-Ed’s One Light Hyo Young revealed that she was ‘Miss Chunhyang.’

MC Kim Gura went on to ask, “Everyone used to be in pageants. Jiyeon, do you think that you’re the prettiest? After surgery?

Jiyeon responded, “I didn’t do surg-… No, I don’t know.” To the viewers who watched the exchange, they felt that Jiyeon practically admitted to having work done when she didn’t know how to respond.

Hyomin and Eunjung attempted to ameliorate the situation by adding, “She’s smart.” Hyomin also hinted at plastic surgery by stating, “I think I looked better before.”

Jiyeon answered, “I look better now.”

One Light Hyo Young concluded, “I look the same,” causing Hyomin and Jiyeon to glare at her.

After releasing their Christmas carol digital album, ‘This Christmas‘, as well as its album jacket photos yesterday, JYP Nation has finally unveiled their full MV!

If you have been piqued by the sight of their close bond in their album jacket photos, you will definitely be pleased to see more of it in through this sweet MV.

Check it out HERE!

Rookie idol group, Co-Ed, made a fresh debut this week with their track ‘Too Late’. The group has been garnering much attention from being one of the first ever “mixed” idol bands in Korea and because they are signed under Core Contents Media, a company that houses T-araDavichi, etc.

A particular member, however, is especially creating an hot issue on the web.

Netizens, who have proven to find past information better than the F.B.I, have dug up member Huh Chan Mi’s past, revealing that she was an SM Entertainment trainee that planned to debut withSNSD/Girl’s Generation.

As many fans already know, there are several pre-debut photos of SNSD when they were a project group, meaning that members were being shifted. Huh Chan Mi is seen in some of these pictures, which leads to speculation that she could have debuted in the group.

Many rumors have floated around that she planned to debut with f(x) as well.

Even though she was just a trainee, she had enough popularity to have several fan pages and cafes.

Netizens have stated, “She fits in her current group than SNSD,“ “I felt a strong force and heard great vocals from her. I guess it was because she was a trainee for a long time.”

Korean broadcasting companies are increasingly concerned about the appropriateness of idols’ outfits on stage. They’re starting to set stricter standards for stage outfits, and pretty soon we might see idols going through checkpoints before they can appear on stage.

However, I can’t help but feel that they’re going to be a little bit biased at these checkpoints.

Just a little bit.

We can’t shake off the thought that Avex was using the three of us as tools to make more profits instead of treating us as artists.” – J.Y.J

With that single sentence, millions of fans around the world were incited into a frenzy about how the evil, greedy workings of Avex were preventing their beloved J.Y.J from continuing promotions.

Now if that scenario sounds familiar, it should, as it’s eerily similar to the one played out with SM Entertainment a little over a year ago.

Both times that J.Y.J came under fire from their companies, fans quickly came to their rescue and defended their actions in overwhelming numbers, proving that the international K-pop community is well anchored on the side of the idol trio.

Despite the seemingly unanimous disdain for SM’s and Avex’s respective roles in this controversy, I have to step back from all the emotional reactions, and reflect on whether the two companies actually deserve these horrifying depictions.

After all, it’s easy for fans to paint their idols as martyrs in the cut-throat world of the music business, but it’s just as easy for them to lose their rational thought process.

The biggest argument against the companies, particularly SM, is that they stuck TVXQ with “unfair” 13-year contracts, that they worked TVXQ to exhaustion without adequate compensation, and that the companies didn’t listen to contract requests.

I suppose to the layman, those things do sound ridiculous, but by and large, I think it depends on the vantage point.

In my opinion, it’s important to remember that these companies invest hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of dollars, as well as precious time, to develop and train these idol groups.  As a result, in order to secure a return, they must come up with contracts that assure their potential profit margin. Consequently, a lengthy contract and a large share of the group’s profitability are what they need to take in order to guarantee a return for themselves and their shareholders.

Everybody focuses on the underdog stories, but remember that the company still has to eat all the costs of training and promoting even if the group bombs; their risk is always significantly higher, so why shouldn’t their rewards also be high when they have a hit? And it’s not like these companies only shell out the money for trainees: even for successful groups, the companies pay for everything.  Plane fare, meals, hotels, car rentals, promotions, recording, writers, producers, drivers – whatever the group needs, they’re paying for it.

When it was announced that Avex would continue to sell JYJ products after they dropped the trio, it just reinforced to fans that Avex was doing this because they are money hungry, or “stealing profit”.

Again though, it’s not as if J.Y.J are just about the music.  After all, they originally wanted to renegotiate their contracts after they filed the original lawsuit against SM, so in essence, they were just looking for the best deal, like any company would.

While the story of the admirable trio who stood up for themselves against the big, bad, evil corporation is a good tale, I’m not sure the disparity in perception deserves to be as wide as it is.

It’s also absurd to me how fans believe that their favorite singers would be successful without these companies.  After all, who would they be if not for the companies that trained and recruited them?  The Korean music market is extremely saturated, and indie artists don’t find the same financial success that they would in a more expansive music culture like America.  Without SM, and to a lesser extent, Avex, who would TVXQ and J.Y.J be?  Anybody at all?  Probably not, and that goes without saying for a great majority of idols.

A consistent reaction from J.Y.J to the legal proceedings and dropped promotions is an attempt to rake in sympathy from their fans.  The key for them is to spin the situation into a woeful story in which it always appears that a greedy company is forcing the poor, innocent talents to do things that they don’t want to to do.  They want everybody to believe that their only goal in life is to please the fans and to make music for the art of it. For example, J.Y.J demanded $2.4 million from the lawsuit, even though they said they were worth 10 million. Why the lesser amount? Again, it’s to create the perception that although they were demanding a lot of money, they weren’t being greedy, because they only demanded 25% of what they thought they deserved.

So why do they utilize this spin?  Because it works.

While both sides are partially at fault for this mess, there has been overwhelming blame placed at the feet of SM Entertainment and Avex.

The cold, hard reality though, is that people do seek to gain financial profitability.  Companies are not run by heartless machines hell-bent on destroying the dreams of young idols; they are run by motives of self-interest, both for themselves and their shareholders.

Additionally, idols are not ‘perfect angels’, despite what fans may believe. Like the corporations, but on a small scale, they do have their own interests, their own success, and their own money at heart.  J.Y.J, despite the image they attempt to play up, are also humans who desire monetary returns for their work.  Again, there’s nothing wrong with that, but both sides are essentially trying to accomplish similar goals, so why the vastly different reactions?

I expect the response to this article to be negative, mainly because it takes the opposite stance of what most fans of K-pop want to hear.  After all, this isn’t a stance specifically about J.Y.J, it’s really about all artists (especially idol groups) and the reality of their situations.

I know people will cry out in anger about bias and other commonly made excuses, but the point of this entire article is to get people to even consider both sides, and that both sides can make mistakes.  Because presently?  Fans are treating both the companies and the idols as if they are non-human entities fighting a war of good and evil – but the reality is that they are both a collection of humans looking out for themselves.

The word of idols is not the word of God.  They are not flawless, and their intentions are not always pure.  In that same vein, all companies are not evil machines hell-bent on preventing your favorite artists from becoming rich and successful. I’m not asking fans to side with SM and start becoming antis, I’m just asking for rational thought.  I’m asking to remember that J.Y.J and other idols are also human, something that I think a lot of fans lose sight of.

What are your thoughts on the issue?  Tell me in the comments.

We know you’ve been screaming to SHINee’s “Hello” comeback performances, but get ready to lose your voice for real – their MV for “Hello” has just been uploaded on their official Youtube site!

The video itself is bright and colorful, expressing those vivid emotions which come with a hopeful confession of love. Without further ado, say ‘hello’ to SHINee’s “Hello” MV!

Category:Other

21 member group, Double B 21, just released a new MV for their track, “SOS.”

We’re still not sure how the group is going to work out, but there’s been rumors that they will be divided into sub groups. Either way, this music video does display some group shots of all 21 members, albeit very briefly.

With that said, I still can’t come to call this an actual “music video.” It just seems too cheap, and home video-like, although it’s probably pretty expensive catering to 21 members, so that could explain why. But hey, at least the song is not too shabby. Check it out for yourself!

A new girl group union has emerged named the UG (United Girlgroups). The union includes the representative names of this generation of girl groups such as SNSD / Girls’ Generation, After School, f(x), Rainbow, 4Minute, T-ara, miss A, and Secret. The members all came together in a special interview celebrating Daily Sports‘ 41st anniversary.

With all of the trendy girl groups invited in one room, what kind of questions revealed their dreams and what events made them cry? Here’s an excerpt from the interview:

Journalist: Congratulations on becoming a UG member.

SNSD Sunny: I had no idea Daily Sports was this old. I always thought it was a newer newspaper company… Daily Sports and SNSD has many unforgettable memories together such as us dominating the first page last year when we won the Golden Disk Award. It was such an honor, I have it saved.

T-ara Eunjung: The first thing I think of is ‘drunk talking.’ I had to solve a few current event quiz questions while drunk. Haha.

Journalist: Let’s start the discussion for real now. There’s a lot of rumors saying that the girl groups aren’t close to one another and that there’s a bit of tension.

Rainbow Jaekyung: That’s absolutely not true. We’re all people, you know. Out of everyone present here today, I’m the closest with Hyosung (Secret). We began talking after we started using the same waiting room. We even created a meeting called the ‘Secbow.’

4Minute Hyuna: I’m very close with miss A’s Suzy since we’re both JYPE trainees. We may be competing but I’m always glad to see her whenever we bump into each other at events.

Journalist: Then what about your own team members? What was the most recent fight you had?

SNSD Sunny: The members wanted to go bowling the other day but I said I was tired so I skipped out. They kept nagging at me because of it.

Secret Hyosung: We fight over the littlest things as well. This afternoon, I got upset because I wanted to eat Korean food when we were deciding our lunch menu but the other members wanted Western. I really, really wanted a nice warm stew with rice.

Journalist: While we’re on the topic of food, let’s talk about diets for a second. What do girl groups eat?

4Minute Hyuna:
You may not believe it but my nickname is pig. I last through the day with food.

miss A Suzy: I eat a~ lot as well. I eat three meals a day on top of nonstop snacking. When we have a schedule that requires a lot of traveling, I really never stop snacking.

Secret Hyosung: Wow~ I’m envious of that. I get a lot of stress because of my weight. My diet meal plan consists of bananas, cucumbers, sweet potatoes, and chicken breasts. I also exercise vigorously with my instructor at the fitness center.

T-ara Eunjung: I also follow a meal plan set up by my trainer. I have to keep it at a maximum of 1,200 calories a day.

Journalist: SNSD’s meal plan was also highly popular as well.

SNSD Sunny:
It was false. We never received a meal plan like that. Normally, we eat a lot but go into a sudden burst of dieting right before MV filmings. All of us in SNSD eat well so please don’t worry.

Journalist: You all do have something you don’t like about your physical appearance, right?

SNSD Sunny: My petite height, haha. I recently earned the nickname of ‘Grave Height,’ which basically means that I’ll be short until I die. If I say it like this, I feel like people will search for it so I’ll just explain it here. On KBS 2TV’s ‘Sketchbook,’ I greeted the audience after Yoona. The camera suddenly dropped when it got to my part.

After School Nana: My skin makes me worry. I’m very jealous of f(x)’s Sulli’s clear skin.

4Minute Hyuna: I’m jealous of Nam Jihyun unni’s skin as well. Her no make up face is the best.

Journaist: It’s getting boring, isn’t it? We’re only talking about boring things. Was there ever a time you got angry at your company’s CEO?

4Minute Hyuna: I was sick one day and got in trouble because I couldn’t dance well. I was so upset, I started crying. Still, I love our Hong Seung Sung Cube CEO. Daddy, don’t be mad, hehe.

Secret Hyosung: I rehearsed all day long and was so fatigued but our CEO walked in and kept saying I needed to rehearse more. I held it in, though.

miss A Suzy: I worked really hard on a recording but producer Park Jinyoung graded it a zero.

T-ara Eunjung: Our Kim Kwangsu CEO always nags at us to diet and then takes us out to eat at a really delicious restaurant. Exactly how does he expect us to lose weight…

Journalist: You all have a lot of older male fans as well, yes? When do you begin dividing the difference between an ‘oppa’ and an ‘uncle?’ And how much older are you willing to accept dating wise?

miss A Suzy: An old man, I consider 40 years old? And dating wise, I don’t think age matters but I’m willing to go up to 12 years my senior. Three years younger than me works as well, too.

Rainbow Jaekyung: If they’re not married, I consider them an oppa. If they are, they’re not. And I don’t think age matters as well.

SNSD Sunny: I think style is more important than age. There are a lot of young people that look old..

Journalist: Then what’s your most recent dating experience?

All: Hm… It’s been a while since we’ve dated. (Moment of awkward silence)

Journalist: Please reveal your ideal male celebrity. You cannot name foreign stars.

miss A Suzy: Kang Dong Won. Kang Dong Won no matter what.

Secret Hyosung: Ah! I’m a Kang Dong Won fan as well. Just hearing his name makes my heart flutter. I’ll be able to meet him one day, I hope.

SNSD Sunny: Wonbin for me!!! My man~ I’m going ot marry him some day. Hahaha, I’m asking to be terrorized, aren’t I?

T-ara Eunjung: When I was younger, I liked people with a warm charisma like Park Haeil. I like smaller eyes as opposed to larger eyes as well. Someone that’s good at rap… Ah! I like Big Bang’s T.O.P senior.

Journalist: When was the day you cried the most after debuting?

f(x) Luna: The day we debuted. I began thinking of my trainee years and sat in the waiting room, crying.

4Minute Hyuna: Same for me. I made a comeback with 4Minute after withdrawing from Wonder Girls. A lot of people anticipated a lot from me, but I was so upset that I couldn’t do as well as I wanted to.

Suzy, Nana, Eunjung: The day we won 1st place. We all thought of the pain we went through, and also felt a bit empty.

Journalist: Do you feel happy living life as a girl group member? Have you ever regretted your debut?

Secret Hyosung: I get depressed when I can’t eat delicious food but I’m always happy and excited when I stand on stage.

SNSD Sunny: I want to go hang out with my friends and date so it does get depressing when I can’t. Still, it’s a thrill to hear the support of our fans when we’re on stage.

f(x) Luna:
Same for me. I’m sad that I can’t meet my friends but every day is filled with delight.

Journalist: If you could go back in time to before you became a celebrity, what would you do?

SNSD Sunny:
I’d like to work part time at a restaurant or cafe. It’d be fun to see such a diverse group of people.

T-ara Eunjung: Me too… I want to observe how everyone lives. I debuted at 16 so I don’t know too much about the outside world.

Rainbow Jaekyung:
I want to date as much as I want. And I want to run away from home one day as well.

4Minute Hyuna:
I want to go to an amusement park and hang out until I get sick of it.

Journalist: What kind of dreams do girl groups have?

f(x) Luna: To become the world’s best diva.

T-ara Eunjung: Asia’s best Miss A.

After School Nana:
I’d like for all of the citizens in Korea to know my name.

SNSD Sunny: A worldwide S! N! S! D!

Journalist: Could you please say something in representation of the girl groups?

SNSD Sunny:
I feel that a girl group special interview being included in celebration of Daily Sports’ 41st year anniversary is proof that the level of influence of girl groups have risen drastically over the years. I’m extremely glad to be a part of this girl group union and will work hard around the world in representation of our country.

During the interview, the members were hesitant to answer many questions as they were being eyed by fans and their agency representatives. The following are a collection of the questions and answers that were given while under such observance.

Journalist: Which girl group is the prettiest?

All: Our group! (Points to their own group)

Journalist:
Which present was the most awkward to receive?

All minus Sunny: The love of our fans are put in the presents, how can they be awkward?

Sunny: Garlic juice.

Journalist:
Were you ever hit on by a male celebrity?

All: You’d think that we’d get hit on often, but never.

Journalist: How much do you have in your bank account?

All: Our parents manage it so we have no idea.

After girl group Girl’s Day lost two of its members on the 12th, DreamTea Entertainment went out searching for replacements for Ji Sun and Ji In. Five days later, they’ve already found the newest members, and revealed their names and profiles!

Joining Girl’s Day will be 18-year-old Yura (Kim Ah Young) and 16 year old Haeri (Lee Haeri).

Yura is in her 3rd year of high school and stands at 168cm, weighing 49kg and her dynamic body is said to be her greatest skill. Haeri is slightly smaller at 166cm in height and 46kg in weight; she is currently in her first year of high school, and running marathons is her specialty.

A representative of the group said,

“We’re sorry for worrying everyone about the departure of our members and the transition of new ones. We will try improving our group as diligently as we did finding these new members.”

Girl’s Day is currently participating in MBC’s “Flower Bouquet and plans to begin their activities soon.

As many of you may know, J.Y.J’s management team in Japan is the Korean company, C-JES Entertainment.  However, what you may not know is that representatives for the company are allegedly affiliated with organized crime (extortion/blackmail).

As of now, their Japanese company, Avex, is investigating the situation and allegations.  Since their contract with Avex was signed through C-JES Entertainment, if C-JES Entertainment is found guilty of the alleged crimes, J.Y.J’s contract with Avex might be voided.  In relation, since the status of their contract in Korea is not fully resolved yet, there exists the possibility that this could affect the suit with SM Entertainment.

As a result of these unknown factors, Avex feels that until a solution is reached, they have an ethical obligation to cease activities.

On the bright side of things for fans, Avex does go on to say that although the situation between DBSK and SM may not have changed, Avex will do its best to resume DBSK activities in Japan.  Furthermore, all products which have already been planned to be released will not be cancelled as a result of this.

“We can’t shake off the thought that Avex was using the three of us as tools to make more profits, instead of treating us as artists.”

Such an opinion was made by
JYJ (Xiah Junsu, Hero Jaejoong, Micky Yoochun) about their Japanese company Avex, after their announcement of JYJ’s promotion discontinuation in Japan.

On the 17th, JYJ released: “First, we are sorry to our fans to have to bring them this kind of news” and that “We were very sad to have received news of a promotion cessation despite all of our cooperation and discussions with Avex”.

They continued: “It feels very stifling to not be able to fulfill our promise to meet our Japanese fans” and that “In order to solve this, we need the consent and attention from our fans”. They added: “We hope to be able to meet our fans as soon as possible when our promotions are resumed”.

Avex dropped JYJ’s Japanese promotions because the Korean company JYJ was affiliated with were allegedly attached to organized crimes of extortion and blackmail.

JYJ responded, saying that their Korean company had yet to be judged on whether or not it was affiliated with organized crimes. Avex shot back an accusation that JYJ had known about the issue before they even signed the contract.

JYJ then clarified: “That content does not break our current contract with Avex, so it cannot be the cause for a discontinuation in promotions, nor nullification of our contract”. Also, “Many months ago, because of this same issue, Avex requested that C-JES Entertainment be omitted from the contract. …JYJ agreed to this request and devotedly participated in the contract discussions because we wanted to have smooth promotions within Japan”.

They further criticized: “But Avex gave JYJ a substantially disadvantageous condition different from what we had originally agreed on the contract; once we declined that condition, they suddenly developed this stance to cancel the contract based on C-JES’s alleged crimes”.

In relation to this contract case, lawyer Im Sang Hyuk of Se-Jong Law Firm (the law firm that is in charge of the legal aspect of this case) commented, “It was immoral of the company (Avex) to put JYJ in a tight spot just because they acted in such a way that would not satisfy the company (Avex)’s greed”. He emphasized that “Many efforts will be put into solving this case so that JYJ can continue their promotions smoothly in Japan”.

On the 16th, Avex revealed through JYJ’s official homepage on their website that “In order to obey the morals of working principles in our company headquarters, we have judged that we cannot manage JYJ’s promotions”.

for everyone

Early this month, we reported that MBLAQ became Kim Suro's student on Mnet’s “Kim Suro’s Prestigious University Class” in order to gain entry to Seoul University.

During the latest broadcast, MBLAQ members Lee JoonSeungho, and Thunder were nervously waiting for admission results from the university. Mir and G.O. had already received their rejection letters the previous week.

On the last English mock test, Lee Joon demonstrated persistence and received 1st place. Thunder had spent time in the Philippines before his debut and was therefore equipped with excellent English skills. Leader Seungho was shown waiting anxiously with his family members. Many viewers and fans were anticipating the acceptance results for the remaining three members.

However, the results came as a shock. Unfortunately, all five members failed to gain admission to Seoul University. For Lee Joon, apart from writing, the rest of his scores were not favorable. The same went for Seungho, who received higher than 75 points on writing, but fumbled to last place in English. As expected, Thunder scored the best in English, but received low scores on his writing.

MBLAQ’s instructor Kim Suro sadly spoke, ‘Because all five members failed, I feel terrible.

In the end, due to the unforeseen results, Mnet suspended the broadcast. A representative from the show expressed, ‘Right now we’re looking for a solution. A decision has not yet been made. For now ‘Kim Suro’s Prestigious University Class’ will not be broadcasted.

The fans couldn’t hide their disappointment after finding out that all the members had failed.

Mnet’s ‘Kim Suro’s Prestigious University Class’ will not be broadcasted for a while. Although it will not be discontinued, there is much focus on how the program will continue.

For most of the year, AVEX Group (Rhythm Zone) has been exclusively working with the TVXQ trio ofJ.Y.J (Jaejoong, Yoochun and Xiah Junsu) leaving many to wonder what the relationship was between the company and members Yunho and Changmin.

With the relationship between J.Y.J and AVEX being severed, Daily Sports Online Japan recently revealed a statement from AVEX.

“なお、東方神起の残りのメンバー・ユンホ(24)、チャンミン(22)については引き続き同社がマネジメントしていく。”

“The remaining members of TVXQ, Yunho (24) and Changmin (22) will continue their activities under Avex.”

AVEX is pulling out of managing the trio while they are under C-JeS Entertainment, but has stated that the contract TVXQ has as a group with SM Entertainment and AVEX will not change.

The ten member idol group Co-Ed has released their member names and teaser photos from their MV.

Their company Core Contents Media said on the 13th, “Co-Ed’s debut track is not a bling-bling song. It has an electronic sound and a strong beat. “

Their names are:

Balance Noori (가온누리)
Smile Soomi (미소수미)
Rascal Kwanghaeng (악동광행)
Star Light Chanmi (별빛찬미)
Hot Blood Kangho (열혈강호)
Solid Sungmin (알찬성민)
Sage Taewoon (지혜태운)
Sky Earth Yoosung (천지유성)
One Star Hyewon (한별혜원)
One Light Hyoyoung (한빛효영)

Their 3D debut music video will be premiered on the 27th at MegaBox.

I guess they were inspired by TVXQ to have such names.

Shin Jung Hwan’s recent gambling controversy is garnering more attention, as rumors abound that there were other stars who joined him. One of these stars was rumored to be Rain, but it appears to have been a mix-up by reporters, as Rain’s representatives are vehemently denying that he was involved in any gambling: “It’s absolutely false.”

Evidently, Rain was filming for upcoming KBS drama “Fugitive” in the Philippines. His representatives explained, “Rain has been recording for his drama as well as performing on stage, so he’s  been incredibly busy. The fact that he would have time to gamble doesn’t even make sense.”

They continued, “Though it is true that Rain was in a hotel with a casino during his stay in Macao, he did not gamble at all. It’s also true that he met the director in Cebu, but he never met Shin Jung Hwan during that time, so these gambling rumors don’t make sense. Rain is currently recording busily in Manila.”

The rumors seem to have started when a netizen visiting the Philippines posted that he saw Rain in the same hotel as Shin Jung Hwan.

Girl group 2NE1 has sold 100,000 copies of their first full album in just five days.

On September 14th, YG Entertainment stated, “After confirming with Mnet Media, the distributors of 2NE1’s first full album, they stated today (14th) that we have sold over 100,000 copies. If this trend continues, we will have sold well over 150,000 copies by the end of the month.”

In regards to the Hanteo Charts reporting that 2NE1’s album has sold only 21,000 copies as of September 12th, YG responded, “We have sold a lot of albums through our own online store, ‘YG e-Shop‘. In regards to the difference in methods of counting sale aggregates, we did nothing more or less than to fully state our distributor’s total aggregate of album sales.”

While Hanteo charts collect 85% of their information from nationwide music sales and 15% from accumulations in their information database and national sale estimations, entertainment companies sum up their album sales by directly checking the number of shipments and calling up music stores.

As of September 14th at 3:20PM, all three of 2NE1’s title tracks are ranked in the top 3 on the popular music portal site, Melon.

The recent surge of news about disrespectful idols has caught the Fangirl’s attention, and she does not approve.

If there is one thing that the Fangirl hates, it’s disrespectful and rude idols.  For once, I have to agree with her.  I mean come on, everyone else is respectful to their elders, so why can’t these idols do the same?  What’s wrong with them? Why are they so rude? I personally have never been disrespectful or rude to anyone in my life, and I’m not even an idol! This should be easy for them.
